I recently signed up for National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) through BlogHer, a media company specialized in blogging and social media. Basically all this means is that I have to publish a blog post everyday throughout the month of October, except Saturday’s and Sunday’s. The theme this month is simply: FALL. I have no idea what blogging every day will be like, but I do know that every single time I write, I learn something new. I’m excited to see what it will be this month. Now come on everybody, FALLow along with me!
Today, instead of putting your hands in the air (as if you are getting arrested) or waving your hands in the air like you just don’t care (as if you are rapping), put your LEAVES in the air.
If you need a refresher course in this type of child’s play, watch my simple step-by-step example (pictures included for the visual learners), then go find a pile of leaves, and get to it.
Repeat as necessary. You will feel like a kid, stress will release from your body, and you will reconnect with nature.
Forget child’s play, it truly doesn’t matter how old you are. In between the few pictures I snapped, I was participating. If you are an older adult reading this, remember, every once in a while you need to stop and
smell the roses jump in a pile of leaves. You need to relish in the crunch beneath your feet as you take a walk in the woods, and for goodness sake, you gotta put your leaves in the air like you just don’t care!
Where are you putting your leaves in the air this fall? Are all the leaves already off the trees? Are they still changing and falling?
In our neck of the woods, we have more leaf days and pictures to come…
